A medical educator and public health practitioners; born in a village of New Delhi in 1967. School education from Jamia Milia Islamia, Medical graduation Maulana Azad Medical College in 1990 and MD (Community Medicine) from AIIMS, New Delhi, MSc in Mental health and PhD in Psychiatry from Delhi University. Got opportunity to develop department of Community Medicine in BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Nepal and the Center for Occupational & Environmental Health at LN Hospital. MSc in Ecology & Environment and Sustainable Development. Fellow of IPHA, IAPSM, IMAAMS.
I am actively involved in Public Health Movement in India. More than 180 research papers are published in journals, in magazines, and in dailies. Editor of IJoYAH, JoARNS,IntJPCCMed, Health Research. Authored dozens of books: National Health Programs of India, A Dictionary of Public Health, the vanishing Girl Child, Practical and Viva in Community Medicine, A textbook of Health for Health Workers, The Pioneering Social Reform of India, Living without God are some known titles.
